Respecting America actually feels pretty cool. Neat.

Remember how we were talking about this that other day and I said I must have mentioned all the things I love about you a thousand times? I thought about it a little more, and I realized that maybe I haven't really said them to you. Not directly, at least. And then Tanya showed us this, and I thought that maybe it wouldn't be that hard to.

I started off with just a few, and I realized that I wasn't really stopping anytime soon, just because there are so many amazing sides to everything about you. And the longer we go through life with each other, I know I'd eventually be able to write about a thousand different things. For now? Have a thousand (and seven) words.

So, this is for you, public because damn it, I'm proud of us, and I'm not letting anyone think I'm not.

not QUITE off hiatus yet, I'm waiting until I'm actually back home and on my own computer before that. as it is, I am currently sitting in le GRANDE BIBLIOTHEQUE DU MONTREAL on my sister's MacBook and grumbling at the fact that its wi-fi disables all forms of IM.

LAST NIGHT, I RODE A FUCKING MECHANICAL BULL IN A BAR AT 3AM. UNDERAGE. I AM HARDCORE. :|

uhhh oh god I am so not functioning today. I slept all day yesterday and woke up at 9pm, and haven't slept since, and the only reason I'm not passed out on the street right now is because of a Java Chip frapp I required earlier.

so yes, big post about the happenings at Otakon (that will, by the time I get around to it, be nearly a month old) will come at a later time. currently, I am settling into that lovely post-con depression and pining after somnomania's AWESOME HOUSE in which I would like to live forever.

... you know, even through all my years of fandom and shipping and hours and hours of discussion about it, it never ceases to amaze me exactly how much power love -- just one concept that somehow affects thousands of different aspects of a life -- has over a person, and how for some people, romantic love is all they have to live for. that kind of extreme dependency on another human is so incredibly frightening sometimes. it really really is.

I missed out on that anon meme that was going around, so feel free to say stuff here if you so wish. >_>; it's the reason why this post is public.
